Feb 28, 2008: Promoting Recovery Following Combat Stress
An audience of Oregon State National Guard officers and senior enlisted men and women were invited to attend a presentation by Dr. Rahe on Combat Stress. Dr Rahe announced his Recovery Training from Combat Stress Program to be available soon at the Anderson Readiness Center in Salem, Oregon.

Feb 22, 2008: Trauma and Recovery; a Comprehensive View
Dr. Rahe is returning to the Naval Health Research Center - where is was stationed over 11 years while in the U.S. Navy. He will present a multidimensional view of soldiers adaptions to wartime traumas and their several possible paths toward recovery.

Oct 20, 2007: Acute and Chronic Stress in the Diagnosis of PTSD
Dr. Rahe presented an overview of acute and chronic stress and their relationship to PTSD at the Senior Medical Consultants to the Armed Forces (SMCAF) Annual Meeting in Bethesda, Md.

Aug 15, 2007: The What, Whys and Hows of PTSD
At the University of Nevada School of Medicine, in Reno, Nevada, the Department of Psychiatry invited Dr. Rahe, emeritus professor of psychiatry, to present a Grand Rounds Lecture based on his 40 years of research concerning PTSD.

Aug 07, 2007: A Path to Illness Resiliency
Dr. Rahe joined a panel of physicians and nurse practitioners in detailing his approach to helping patients achieve stress resiliency. He will introduce his on-line assessment instrument, the Brief Stress and Coping Inventory, along with his educational manual. Both are used in his 5 session Recovery from Stress course.

Jun 12, 2006: 40 Years of Psychosomatic Research
Dr. Rahe presented an overview of his research career to PhD candidates in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Behavioral Sciences, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary; organized by Professor Maria Kopp, PhD.

Apr 28, 2006: Acute versus Chronic Reactions to Stress
Dr. Rahe was the Keynote Speaker at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Advanced Practitioners of Psychiatric Nursing (AAPPN). He will talk about acute stress from 8:15 to 9:30 A.M. and about chronic stress from 10:00 to 11:15 A.M. The meeting will be held at the Double Tree Inn across from the Seattle-Tacoma Airport.

Dr. Rahe presented to the on-line fitness authority, e-Phit, regarding serial monitoring of stress and coping as a marker of wellness progression.
