Aug 06, 2009: Stress and Coping Counseling
At McCord Air Force Base, in Tacoma, Washington, Dr. Rahe presented a lecture to Army and Air Force mental health therapists on possible uses of his new Stress and Coping Workbook. The possiblity of research utilizing his stress and coping database, along with his workbook, was also presented.

Jul 23, 2009: Recovery from Combat Stress
For this presentation to the the staff of the Veterans' Village of San Diego (California), Dr Rahe introduced his new stress and coping workbook. This workbook directly applies to group counseling for military men and women returning from a lengthy IOF and OIF deployments. It focuses on the many challenges concerning readjustment to civilian life. The over 100 service men and women living at the Veterans' Village are homeless. They can stay there up to one year utilizing therapetic and educational classes designed to help them function independently.

Feb 22, 2009: Trauma and Recovery; a Comprehensive View
Dr. Rahe returned to the Naval Health Research Center, San diego, California - where he was stationed for 11 years while on active duty in the U.S. Navy. He presented a multidimensional view of soldiers adaptions to wartime traumas and several possible paths toward recovery.

Aug 07, 2008: A Path to Illness Resiliency
Dr. Rahe joined a panel of physicians and nurse practitioners in detailing his approach to helping patients achieve stress resiliency. He introduced his on-line assessment instrument, the Brief Stress and Coping Inventory, along with his new educational manual. Both are used in his Recovery from Stress course.

Feb 28, 2008: Promoting Recovery Following Combat Stress
An audience of Oregon State National Guard officers and senior enlisted men and women were invited to attend a presentation by Dr. Rahe on Combat Stress. Dr Rahe announced his Recovery Training from Combat Stress Program to be available soon at the Anderson Readiness Center in Salem, Oregon.

Oct 20, 2007: Acute and Chronic Stress in the Diagnosis of PTSD
Dr. Rahe presented an overview of acute and chronic stress and their relationship to PTSD at the Senior Medical Consultants to the Armed Forces (SMCAF) Annual Meeting in Bethesda, Md.

Aug 15, 2007: The What, Whys and Hows of PTSD
At the University of Nevada School of Medicine, in Reno, Nevada, the Department of Psychiatry invited Dr. Rahe, emeritus professor of psychiatry, to present a Grand Rounds Lecture based on his 40 years of research concerning PTSD.

Jun 12, 2006: 40 Years of Psychosomatic Research
Dr. Rahe presented an overview of his research career to PhD candidates in Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Behavioral Sciences, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary.

May 11, 2006: PTSD - What it is and What it isn't
Dr. Rahe was invited to present a Grand Rounds Lecture at the Department of Psychiatry, VA Los Angeles Health Care Service, Westwood, CA.

Apr 28, 2006: Acute versus Chronic Reactions to Stress
Dr. Rahe was the Keynote Speaker at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Advanced Practitioners of Psychiatric Nursing (AAPPN).

Sep 08, 2005: Stress and Coping Monitoring in Recovery
Dr. Rahe presented to an on-line fitness authority, e-Phit, in Salt Lake City, Utah, regarding serial monitoring of stress and coping as a marker of progression in wellness.

Jun 07, 2005: Acute versus Chronic Stress in Recovery
A TriWest presentation in conjunction with Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, on the challenges and treatment of soldiers returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Apr 21, 2005: Trauma - Nature, Effects, Treatment and Recovery
Half day and full day presentations were made in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, and in Auckland, New Zealand.
